Progressive Bank - Our Policy Notice
Keeping customer information secure is a top priority for all of us at Progressive Bank. Confidentiality is an important commitment we make to our customers. This policy will explain how we handle the personal information about you that we collect and may disclose. This notice applies to former customers as well as current customers.
In this notice, we refer to "our affiliates". When we do, we mean our company which is part of the Progressive Bancorp, Inc. family. These affiliates include Progressive Bank and Progressive Financial Advisors, Inc., L.L.C. On the other hand, when we refer to "non-affiliated third parties", we mean companies that are not part of the Progressive Bank family.
In this notice, we also refer to "nonpublic personal information". Generally, this indicates information which you provide to the Bank to obtain a financial product or service, or information the Bank obtains in connection with providing that product or service to you.
Confidentiality and Security Practices
Progressive protects the nonpublic personal information we collect about you by maintaining physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal standards. We train the people who work for us on how to properly handle your nonpublic personal information. We restrict access to nonpublic personal information about you to persons who need to know that information to provide products and services to you.
Collection of Information
We may collect nonpublic personal information about you from the following sources:
- Information we receive from you on applications or other forms;
- Information about your transactions with us, our affiliates, or others; and
- Information we receive from consumer reporting agencies.
Types of Information We May Disclose
We may disclose all of the types of information that we collect as described above, subject to the restrictions described below.
Sharing of Information
Progressive Bank does not sell its customers' information to third parties. To enable us to better serve you, we may disclose nonpublic personal information about you to the following types of third parties:
- Financial service providers, such as mortgage brokers, securities broker-dealers, and insurance agents.
- Non-financial companies, such as data processors and check printers, and others with which we have contracted to perform operational functions on behalf of the Bank and our customers.
- Companies which perform marketing services on our behalf or to other financial service providers with which we have joint marketing agreements, and which have agreed with us to maintain the confidentiality of the information they receive from us.
We may also disclose nonpublic personal information about you to nonaffiliated third parties as permitted by law.
Your Opt-Out Right - Non-Affiliated Third Parties
If you prefer that we not disclose nonpublic personal information about you to non-affiliated third parties, you may opt out by directing us not to make those disclosures (other than disclosures permitted by law). For any accounts or loans you hold jointly with another person, each person may separately opt out and joint account holders may opt out for each other. If only one joint account holder opts out, we may share information about the other joint account holder.
Your Opt-Out Right - Affiliates
The law allows us to share with our affiliates any information about our transactions or experiences with you. If you prefer that we not disclose other credit related information that you provide us or that we obtain from third parties, you may opt out by directing us not to make these disclosures (other than disclosures permitted by law). If you wish to opt out of disclosures to affiliates, you may call or complete the form as described above.
