Hal also finds time to help us move forward in education by serving on the LSU Board of Supervisors as Chairman of the Properties and Facilities Committee, as well as Vice Chairman of the Finance Committee. It’s a top priority with him, as is his work as Vice President and board member of Monroe Home Ownership, Inc., helping educate low-income, first-time home buyers on their options.

Meet Barry Stevens, Winnsboro/Franklin Parish Market Leader and 25-year member of our ProTeam. Well-known throughout the area, Barry understands and appreciates customers’ situations and works hard in assisting them in making sound, effective banking decisions.

He also finds time to help improve the quality of life of the community by embracing a number of roles with Winnsboro’s Princess Theatre. For six years Barry has served as its president and is currently helping establish the new Princess Theatre Foundation. He knows creating a diverse offering of cultural events like local theatre truly enriches a community. Besides this work, he also serves as vice president of the area’s Economic Development Foundation.

Meet Wyman Mardis, Senior Vice President of Private Banking and 10-year member of our ProTeam. Ever industrious, he puts his long years in the banking industry to work by addressing customers’ financial needs with care and expertise.

Wyman also spends long hours performing community work like serving on the Board of Control of the Ouachita Parish Public Library, where he uses his banking experience to see that budgets are implemented properly and financial matters run efficiently. He also serves on the Louisiana Attorney Disciplinary Board, the Board of Directors of the Lotus Club, the Strauss Theatre Endowment Committee and as Vice Chairman of the 2007-2008 ULM University Associates Campaign to Support ULM Presidential Priorities Fund.

Meet Sandra Bennett, Vice President, Manager of our Cash Management Department and 10-year member of our ProTeam. She’s busy every day helping business customers put their cash to work more efficiently and profitably.

She also volunteers year-round for the Cancer Foundation League where she has been Vice President for the past two years. Over the last six years she has worked with the league in assisting almost 1,600 area cancer patients with expenses – totaling over a half million dollars – for things like medication, transportation, utility bills, medical equipment and mortgage payments. The league also provides gift baskets of donated items during the holidays.

Meet Dale Williams, Executive Vice President, Head of Risk Management, Chief Credit Officer and 10-year veteran of our ProTeam. He works to structure the best loans possible to allow businesses, large and small, to grow.

Dale also believes in the value of community service. In the field of blood donation, he is one of the original founding members of LifeShare Blood Centers. He currently serves as a member of the Center’s Community Advisory Board. So whether he’s raising the bar on needed services in our community or raising cattle on his farm, Dale is bringing value to our area.

Meet David Hampton, Executive Vice President, Chief Lending Officer, Head of Commercial Banking and 10-year member of our ProTeam. He works diligently to provide lending and depository solutions as well as financial advice to business customers to help them succeed and prosper.

David also does much for the community by working with the American Red Cross. He is currently serving as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Northeast Louisiana Chapter of the American Red Cross. A volunteer for 17 years, he’s busy at fundraising and assisting the organization to fulfill its mission of helping prevent, prepare for and respond to emergencies.

Meet Kelly Shambro, Senior Vice President, Marketing and Communications Director, and 10-year veteran of our ProTeam. She manages all external and internal communications programs as well as customer relationship management programs system-wide.

Kelly also believes in helping others as demonstrated by her work with the United Way of Northeast Louisiana. Through her efforts in the Community Investment area, she and the other Community Investment volunteers strive to help people and improve the community by ensuring that donor dollars are used effectively. They work with local United Way partner agencies to appropriately fund programs that achieve our community goals of strengthening families, creating bright futures for children, responding to crisis and achieving stability, and improving health and wellness.

Meet Michele Thaxton, Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and 10-year member of our ProTeam. She watches over all financial aspects of Progressive Bank to ensure we continue to grow as a strong, vibrant institution, fulfilling our mission every day as a committed and caring community bank.

She also works out in the community as a volunteer on the finance committees and boards of entities like United Way and the Northeast Louisiana Soccer Association. Meet Danny Burton. He has banking information technology in his DNA. And he has joined the team at Progressive Bank as Vice President of Technology & Infrastructure.

A 26-year banking professional, Danny returns to his Louisiana roots, where he managed several IT departments in south Louisiana. In addition, as past President of the Texas ITI Users Group, he was instrumental in establishing a statewide organization of banking IT professionals.

Most recently, he was Vice President of Information Technology with First National Bank in Texas.
