As our state and nation have seen some positive trends in the fight against the COVID-19 coronavirus, we are pleased to announce that we have opened our branch lobbies for regular banking hours! To ensure the safety of our clients and our staff, we will continue the use of germ shields at our desks and lobby teller windows. We ask that you maintain a social distance of at least 6 feet from others when waiting in line or when moving about our offices. And, our staff will be wearing face coverings for the safety of each other and of our clients. We ask that you wear a face covering when entering the Bank, as well. In addition, if we are not able to properly identify you (per banking regulation), we may ask that you briefly lower your mask within security camera view. COVID-19 and the Paycheck Protection Program Update -- April 24, 2020
The loan amount can be for up to 2.5 times your average monthly payroll costs from the last year, and the loan term will be for 2 years with a 1.00% fixed rate with no collateral or guarantees required and no fees to the applicant. For more detailed information on eligibility, average monthly payroll calculations, etc., the U.S. Department of the Treasury and the Small Business Administration have helpful information available on their websites. With the PPP program, loan payments will be deferred for six months and these loans may be forgiven as long as: -- The loan proceeds are used to cover payroll costs and most mortgage interest, rent, and utility costs over the 8-week period after the loan is made; The loan amount can be for up to 2.5 times your average monthly payroll costs from the last year, and the loan term will be for 2 years with a 1.00% fixed rate with no collateral or guarantees required and no fees to the applicant. For more detailed information on eligibility, average monthly payroll calculations, etc., the Department of the Treasury has prepared a PPP Information Sheet for Borrowers available here. The loan application period begins on Friday, April 3rd, for small businesses and sole proprietors, and on Friday, April 10th, for independent contractors and self-employed individuals; and you are encouraged to apply as soon as you have your information together.
